David Kerr and Christian Gessner join Awery Aviation Software
New appointments add strategic and sales experience to support customer growth and digital transformation in air cargo.;

Awery Aviation Software has appointed David Kerr and Christian Gessner as it continues to grow and expand its global customer base.
Gessner has joined Awery as Business Development Manager, strengthening the company’s commercial team, while Kerr has come on board as a consultant to support overall strategic growth and customer engagement.
Gessner brings more than 20 years of air cargo experience, having worked with the International Air Transport Association and several aviation software providers. His background includes sales, marketing, business transformation and supporting the development and adoption of air cargo technology.
He said Awery has built a strong reputation for delivering ERP solutions that support cargo operators in their daily operations while helping speed up technology adoption in an industry that has traditionally been slow to digitise. Gessner added that his focus at Awery will be on accelerating the use of practical technology that delivers clear gains in efficiency, compliance and performance for cargo operators worldwide.
Kerr joins Awery with extensive senior leadership experience across the air cargo sector. He spent almost a decade at American Airlines before moving into senior roles at Etihad Cargo and European Cargo.
He said his experience working closely with airline cargo teams has given him a strong understanding of the operational challenges customers face and what is required to deliver tools that bring real improvements. Kerr added that he is looking forward to supporting cross-industry initiatives and building on the current momentum of digitalisation using Awery’s tools.
Awery said the appointments reflect its long-term focus on customer-led technology and supporting digital transformation across the air cargo industry.
