Bringer air cargo lands first wide-body freighter at Navegantes Airport
The Boeing 767-300F inaugurates US–southern Brazil route, boosting trade and logistics in Santa Catarina.;
Bringer Air Cargo has made history by operating the first international wide-body freighter to land directly at Navegantes Airport (NVT) in southern Brazil. The Boeing 767-300F touched down on the morning of 26 November, marking a milestone for the airport and strengthening trade links between the United States and the State of Santa Catarina, a key industrial and import hub. Bringer will initially operate weekly flights on the route, with plans to expand to three or four weekly services as demand grows.
The achievement is the result of a long-term project that began in 2019 but was delayed by the pandemic and regulatory challenges. Bringer Air Cargo, in collaboration with its aeronautical consulting team, conducted detailed technical, safety, and infrastructure studies at NVT. These assessments led to essential airport upgrades, including a runway extension of at least 100 metres, widening of the emergency lane by 45 metres, and improvements to manoeuvring and parking areas to safely accommodate the Boeing 767-300F.
The upgraded facilities allowed the inaugural flight, operated on a LATAM Airlines Boeing 767-300F under Bringer’s cargo programme, to arrive safely with a payload capacity of up to 50 tons. The project involved close coordination between Bringer Air Cargo, Motiva Airports, and PACLOG Cargo Terminals to secure all necessary approvals.
Bringer Air Cargo, part of the Bringer Corporation Group founded in 1983, is a member of the International Clearing House (ICH) and has built a reputation over 40 years for reliable global air cargo solutions. The company said the new route represents a commitment to connecting markets efficiently and creating new trade opportunities for Brazil’s fastest-growing import region.
With the launch of the MIA–NVT route, Bringer Air Cargo expands its presence in one of Brazil’s most dynamic logistics corridors, reinforcing its dedication to supporting global supply chains with reliable and scalable air freight services.
