YEG to present sustainability video series with STAT Media
Focused on sustainability within air cargo, STAT Media Group is crafting a 20-episode video series.
At the 10th edition of Air Cargo India 2024, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, the STAT Media group officially launched the logo of its new air cargo video series "The Future of Transport: Innovative & Sustainable" in collaboration with Edmonton International Airport, also known as YEG. This 20-episode video series will be created by STAT Media Group and will focus on sustainability in the global air freight business.
The official logo was unveiled immediately after an Air Cargo India panel discussion on “Air cargo’s path to sustainability”. Reji John, editor of STAT Media Group, addressed the audience on the purpose of the new video series and how committed STAT Media is about amplifying the sustainability subject to the global air cargo industry stakeholders. During the logo unveiling, a recorded video message from Trevor Caswell, the Manager of Demand & Product Development at Edmonton International Airport, was played, in which he talked about Edmonton International Airport and the series.
"Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is Canada’s largest airport by landmass, with over 7000 acres in our care. Connecting people and cargo securely and safely is paramount, but YEG is not waiting to be led when it comes to critical areas around sustainability and innovation. We are focused on driving positive change through ethical means. This exciting series aims to create a platform for ideas, insights, and conversations on how we can collectively work towards a sustainable future for our planet and people.”
"Change cannot be done in isolation, and we are raising awareness and working together with global partners to seek actionable insights and make meaningful progress," said Caswell, who also joined live from Edmonton for the official unveiling of the series logo.
During the launch, notable delegates such as Joe Lawrence, President of Airline Services International; Kiran Jain, COO of Noida International Airport; Burak Omeroglu, VP for the Middle East and South Asia at Turkish Cargo; Manoj Singh, Chief Cargo Officer of Adani Airport Holdings; Vivek Chopra, Senior Director of Airfreight for India & the Indian Subcontinent at DB Schenker; Charles Wyley, EVP of the Middle East, Africa, and Asia at Menzies Aviation; Danita Waterfall-Brizzi, Principal Cargo & Logistics Consultant at Hospitio Consulting Service; and Glyn Hughes, Director General of TIACA, were present on the stage.
