WFS partners with JetPak to expand Denmark first–last mile services

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a SATS company, has launched a nationwide cooperation with JetPak to offer first and last mile pick-ups and deliveries for cargo and e-commerce customers across Denmark. The partnership marks the expansion of WFS’ specialised E-Commerce & Freight Forwarder Handling services in the country and aims to strengthen end-to-end logistics for airlines, freight forwarders and e-commerce players.

WFS said the cooperation enables customers to combine its air cargo handling and security screening expertise with JetPak’s time-critical road and air logistics network. JetPak, which has more than 40 years of experience in air and ground transport and over 170 local offices across the Nordic region, provides same-day, door-to-door deliveries. According to Inge Briand de Crevecoeur, WFS’ Managing Director in Denmark, the collaboration brings together two specialists committed to keeping shipments moving on time and supporting customer growth.

The agreement also includes a six-year contract under which JetPak will have dedicated warehouse capacity in WFS’ new E-Commerce & Freight Forwarder Handling facility at Copenhagen Airport. The facility opened in July and adds to WFS’ growing infrastructure in Denmark.

WFS now operates more than 21,500 square metres of facilities at Copenhagen Airport. These include a temperature-controlled pharma centre and the dedicated EFFH building. The expanded footprint supports a wider range of value-added services for freight forwarders handling import and export cargo as well as rising e-commerce volumes.

The company’s EFFH services prepare freight for carriage by recording weight and measurements and providing security screening, consolidation and transport to and from handling agents. The solution also covers deconsolidation, sorting and preparation for customs clearance, onward road transport, labelling, repacking, crating and customised screening services.
