WFP airbridge delivers 60 tonnes of aid to Haiti
A World Food Programme humanitarian flight carried 60 tonnes of essential aid to Haiti, helping strengthen relief operations ahead of the cyclone season.

A humanitarian cargo flight has landed in Port-au-Prince, delivering 60 metric tonnes of vaccines, medical supplies, and other essential relief items to support humanitarian operations in Haiti ahead of the country's cyclone season.
The shipment was transported through the World Food Programme's (WFP) humanitarian airbridge, which plays a critical role in ensuring the rapid delivery of life-saving assistance to vulnerable communities and aid organisations operating in the country.
The consignment, which included vaccines and other medical supplies, is expected to strengthen emergency preparedness and support ongoing humanitarian efforts as Haiti braces for seasonal storms.
WFP said the airbridge continues to serve as a vital logistics lifeline, enabling humanitarian organisations to respond quickly to emergencies and reach people in need. The organisation acknowledged the support of the United States and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) in facilitating the latest relief flight.
The delivery underscores the importance of international cooperation in sustaining humanitarian supply chains and enhancing disaster preparedness in one of the Caribbean's most vulnerable nations.
