Unilode Aviation Solutions has launched a new Fire Containment Cover (FCC) Leasing Solution, offering airlines and air cargo operators flexible access to certified fire containment equipment without the need to purchase or own the assets.

The new service expands Unilode's fire containment offering by introducing a fully managed leasing model designed to help airlines reduce capital expenditure, improve operational flexibility and maintain continuous access to compliant safety equipment.

The launch comes as the aviation industry faces growing demand for enhanced fire safety measures, driven by the increasing transport of lithium batteries and other high-risk cargo that require specialised fire containment solutions. Building on its experience in Fire Containment Cover maintenance and repair, Unilode said the leasing programme provides customers with certified and fully maintained covers supported by the company's global network and one of the world's largest aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) infrastructures.

Under the new solution, customers will have access to flexible leasing options tailored to operational requirements, globally available Fire Containment Covers, end-to-end lifecycle management, rapid deployment and ongoing technical support. By eliminating the need for airlines to purchase, maintain and manage their own Fire Containment Cover inventory, Unilode aims to simplify asset management while ensuring compliance with evolving aviation safety standards.

The company said the new leasing model will enable airlines and cargo operators to focus on flight operations while benefiting from reliable fire containment equipment that can be deployed quickly whenever required. Unilode added that the launch reflects its continued focus on developing services that improve operational resilience, simplify asset management and support the highest standards of aviation safety and regulatory compliance as customer requirements continue to evolve.
