Teleport, the logistics arm of Capital A Berhad, and China Central Longhao Airlines Co. Ltd (Air Central China) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 18 September 2025 at the Zhengzhou-Kuala Lumpur ‘Air Silk Road’ Forum in Sepang, Malaysia. The agreement aims to strengthen air cargo connectivity between China and Southeast Asia, streamline cargo movement, and support Malaysia’s vision to position Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) as a regional and global trade hub.

The MOU was signed by Pete Chareonwongsak, CEO of Teleport, and Li Zhenliang, CEO of Air Central China. It was witnessed by Malaysian Minister of Transport Anthony Loke, Henan Provincial Governor Wang Kai, and Zheng Xuefang, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia. The partnership supports the Air Silk Road initiative and growing China-ASEAN trade, which accounted for 16.7 per cent of China’s total foreign trade, valued at USD 692 billion as of August 2025.

Following the signing, the two companies announced an interline agreement to enable faster and seamless cargo transfer across their networks. The deal integrates Air Central China’s routes from Xi’an and Hangzhou, as well as connections from Delhi, Hanoi, and Osaka, with Teleport’s network covering more than 290 cities across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania.

“Being chosen as an interline partner by Air Central China emphasises the trust placed in Teleport’s network and operational expertise,” said Pete Chareonwongsak, CEO of Teleport. “Our strength lies in connecting airline networks to expand reach and efficiency beyond what any single carrier can achieve. By linking Air Central’s key hubs in China with Teleport’s extensive Southeast Asian and Asia-Pacific network, we’re providing direct, one-booking access from major Chinese hubs into the heart of Southeast Asia for more efficient trade.”

Li Zhenliang, CEO of Air Central China, said, “This meeting and the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding have laid the foundation for comprehensive cooperation between both parties. In the future, Teleport will become China Central Longhao Airlines’ most important partner in Southeast Asia, working together to open more air routes connecting China and Southeast Asia.”

The partnership is expected to reduce transit times and facilitate smoother cargo flows across Asia’s growing trade corridors, while reinforcing economic cooperation between China and ASEAN countries.
