In an industry constantly evolving, MSC Air Cargo is leading the charge towards a future of greater efficiency, flexibility, and unparalleled customer service. Since its inception just one and a half years ago, the company has shown a growth unmatched by any other all-cargo company, passing from operating a single aircraft to a fleet that will include five starting in May.

Leveraging its global expertise, MSC Air Cargo has assembled a team of regional specialists who work in close collaboration with clients across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. This synergy of local knowledge and international reach ensures that every aspect of specialized cargo types and shipments is handled with the utmost care and precision.

Reinforcing its European presence, MSC Air Cargo has strengthened its gateways in Malpensa and Liège, bolstering its ability to serve the diverse needs of the continent. While the Transpacific trade lane remains a critical focus, in line with the overall evolving demand out of South China & Hong Kong, the company maintains a balanced schedule and a diversified portfolio of clients and cargo types. From flowers sourced in Quito to high-fashion items from Malpensa, MSC Air Cargo’s services extend beyond general cargo, encompassing pharmaceuticals, perishables, ecommerce, vehicles, and even aviation logistics for aircraft engines and helicopter movements – a rapidly expanding sector for the company.

The company is also actively working towards the official launch of special cargo products, adhering to the highest sector standards and striving for industry certification to underscore its commitment to quality. Their first product will be ‘Shipped Pharma’.

Furthermore, MSC Air Cargo successfully executed two cargo management system implementations within a year in partnership with IBS Software. It started with an initial deployment in the summer of 2023 followed by a subsequent upgrade to the Next Gen version of the system as the 2nd customer going live on the Next Gen version in April of 2024.

Flexibility and agility are the hallmarks of MSC Air Cargo’s approach. With a fleet that has grown to five aircraft, the company is poised for further expansion, constantly exploring opportunities to enhance its global network. The recent acquisition of Alis Cargo, an Italian-based airfreight carrier, marks a significant milestone, as the new Italian AOC will operate the fifth freighter, reinforcing MSC Air Cargo’s presence in the Italian market.

The addition of the I-MSCA, the first brand-new widebody freighter to be allocated to Italy in over 40 years, underscores MSC Air Cargo’s commitment to innovation while keeping intact its Italian heritage. This unique business model, blending ACMI operations with the company’s own aircraft, positions MSC Air Cargo as a trailblazer in the industry.

“As we continue to expand our fleet and strengthen our global reach, our focus remains steadfast on delivering exceptional service and tailored solutions to our clients,” said the Senior Vice President of MSC Air Cargo, Jannie Davel. “By leveraging our regional expertise and investing in the latest technology, we are enhancing operational efficiency.”

MSC Air Cargo’s unwavering commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction is making noteworthy contributions to the air cargo industry. By focusing on providing customised solutions and adopting new technologies, the company is positioning itself as a key partner to its clients, supporting the evolving needs of the global supply chain.
