Pradhaan Air Express, India's first dedicated air cargo carrier, launched its inaugural flight from Mumbai to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, carrying 65 tonnes of vaccines from the Serum Institute of India.

India's pharmaceutical sector has been experiencing steady growth, with exports reaching $24.4 billion in 2022-23, according to Pharmexcil. The country’s air cargo industry is also witnessing rapid expansion, marked by a 15% increase in cargo volume during the same period, according to a release from Pradhaan Air Express.

“The successful shipment of vaccines to Tashkent showcases Serum Institute's prowess in the industry and reinforces India's position as a trusted supplier of high-quality vaccines.”
