MSC Air Cargo is strengthening its commercial capabilities and bolstering the presence of commercial teams worldwide, reaffirming commitment to meeting evolving client needs globally.

"We have decided to terminate our partnership with ECS effective February 15, 2024," Jannie Davel, SVP, Air Cargo, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company wrote in a LinkedIn post. "We express our sincere appreciation for their dedication and valuable contributions throughout our collaboration. Their commitment has played a crucial role in our journey, and we extend our gratitude for the growth experiences shared together."

Change brings opportunities, "and we're confident this transition will lead us toward greater success. Looking ahead, we are dedicated to delivering enhanced value to our partners and clients. We believe that these changes will position MSC Air Cargo as a key player in the industry, capable of meeting the dynamic demands of the global market."

MSC Air Cargo had teamed up with the ECS Group to serve as their GSA in North America, Europe and Mexico, responsible for local sales, marketing, and customer service in these regions.

MSC Air Cargo orders 5th B777F, to be operated under AlisCargo AOC
MSC Air Cargo will have its fifth Boeing B777 production freighter in the fleet by the end of Q1 2024. The cargo airline will operate the brand new production freighter under the Italian air operator’s licence (AOC) it has got through the acquisition of AlisCargo Airlines. With this, MSC Air Cargo will have its second European gateway to be based in Milan.

“We have purchased a fifth aircraft that will be placed within AlisCargo as our own operated aircraft starting by the end of Q1 this year," Davel confirmedin an exclusive interview to STAT Media Group.
