Lufthansa Cargo maintains growth momentum in Q3 2025
The growth was supported by the addition of a Boeing 777F to the fleet late last year.

Lufthansa Cargo has continued its strong operational and financial performance into the third quarter of 2025. Adjusted EBIT for the first nine months reached €184 million, up €132 million compared with last year. In Q3 alone, Adjusted EBIT stood at €49 million, €11 million higher than the same quarter in 2024.
The airline said that throughout the first nine months, it further strengthened its commitment to ‘Enabling Global Business’ by offering 6% more freighter and belly capacity.
ACTK rose 6%, while CTK grew 8%, lifting the load factor by 1.4 percentage points to 62.5%. Sales increased 8%, exceeding capacity growth, and traffic revenue grew 9% year on year. The growth was supported by the addition of a Boeing 777F to the fleet late last year.
The integration of ITA Airways’ cargo capacities continued in the third quarter, with routes from Delhi, Tokyo-Haneda, and Bangkok to Rome entering Lufthansa Cargo’s network. Demand remained strong, driving higher volumes.
Among the key highlights, Swiss WorldCargo joined the existing joint venture between Lufthansa Cargo and United Cargo, further strengthening transatlantic cooperation. time:matters also expanded its global courier terminal network with new locations in Mexico.
At the same time, the company is investing €76 million to further enhance quality and efficiency, with a primary focus on modernising the Lufthansa Cargo Centre in Frankfurt.
