LATAM Cargo Group announced an expansion of its Miami-São José dos Campos service, increasing flights from two to three times per week. Effective immediately, flights will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

This expansion will enhance capacity by 50 percent, enabling the transport of over 150 tonnes of cargo weekly between the U.S. and São Paulo's interior, according to an official release by LATAM Cargo.

“We are very pleased with this announcement, which reinforces our commitment to our customers in Brazil,” says Otávio Meneguette, Commercial Director, LATAM Cargo Brazil. “This international route is crucial for São José dos Campos and the São Paulo interior as it facilitates the import of supplies and electronic equipment for the Vale do Paraíba industrial chain.

“The route, operated by Boeing 767-300F freighters with a capacity of over 50 tonnes per flight, completed its first year in June. It facilitates the import of general cargo and electronic products to the Vale do Paraíba region, connecting with the Miami hub, which links cargo from the U.S. and Europe.”

In May 2024, the company launched the new domestic Guarulhos-Recife-Manaus route, increasing its capacity in Recife by 62 percent compared to April. All operations on this route are carried out with the Boeing 767-300F aircraft, each capable of transporting over 50 tonnes per flight, the release added.
