Hong Kong Air Cargo announced the appointment of Hakan Bulat as the new President, effective March 3, 2025.

Having been engaged in the air cargo and logistics business for over twenty years, Hakan Bulat brings a wealth of experience from his senior leadership roles in leading corporations, says an official release. "His appointment marks a milestone for the airline as it aims to further strengthen its position in the industry and drive growth in air cargo services."

Tony Ma, Chairman, Hong Kong Air Cargo says: "We are excited to welcome Hakan Bulat to the team and are confident in his ability to lead the airline towards continued success in the air cargo sector."

Bulat was the Chief Executive Officer, WE World Express for over five years. He was based in Hong Kong, and was responsible for commercial and quality management.

Turkish Airlines owns 45 percent stake in We World Express, a cargo/courier company that provides door-to-door logistics services with a focus on the global e-commerce market. The other two shareholders are ZTO Express (45 percent) and PAL Air (10 percent).

"After more than 5 years in We World Express; it is time to move ahead to new challenges. My tenure in We World Express has ended by the end of February and I am grateful to the shareholders and the board for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to start and build a great company," Bulat posted on LinkedIn. "I am wishing the best to the amazing We World Express team and I am sure that we will be meeting somewhere in the future again."

Earlier, he was the Executive Director, PAL Express for two years, and Regional Sales and Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific, Turkish Cargo for four years.
