Fly Vaayu makes its maiden landing at Ras Al Khaimah Airport
This aircraft, registered as A6-RMA, is the world’s third Airbus A320 Passenger to Freighter (A320P2F).

United Arab Emirates-based cargo airline Fly Vaayu has become the UAE's only dedicated narrow-body freighter airline. The milestone was achieved with the successful landing of its ferry flight at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RKT) on October 7, 2024. Fly Vaayu plans to set up its operational hub at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
The aircraft, registered as A6-RMA, is an Airbus A320 passenger to freighter (P2F) and was welcomed with a traditional water salute at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
This aircraft is also the world’s third Airbus A320P2F, with the other two currently in service with Sky Vision Airlines and Pradhaan Air Express.
Lessor Vaayu Group, of which Fly Vaayu is a part, delivered the world’s second Airbus A320P2F aircraft to Cairo-based Sky Vision Airlines in April of this year.
While Vaayu Group was also the launch customer for the first Airbus A320P2F, it leased the aircraft to Pradhaan Air Express.
All three aircraft have been converted into freighters by Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), a joint venture between Airbus and ST Engineering.
