Finnair Cargo appoints Jukka Hämäläinen as Sales Director, Asia

Finnair Cargo has appointed Jukka Hämäläinen as Sales Director for Asia.
He started in his position at the beginning of September 2024 and is based in Helsinki, Finland, says an official release.

"His extensive global experience in sales and business development, combined with his strategic mindset, makes him the right leader to manage this important region. I am confident that his leadership will further strengthen our presence in Asia and enhance our service to customers."
Hämäläinen has held senior management positions during his career, and has also worked nearly twenty years in the aviation industry, focusing previously on ground operations, the release added. Hämäläinen's previous position at Finnair was Senior Vice President, Ground Handling during 2007–2010, and since then he has explored other industries in senior roles.

Finnair Cargo is one of the largest air cargo carriers in Northern Europe, and is a subsidiary of the passenger airline Finnair, one of the oldest operating airlines. Its main hub is located at Helsinki Airport in Finland, connecting destinations in Europe, U.S., Asia and the Middle East. Finnair Cargo has one of the most modern air cargo terminals, opened in 2018, and specialises in carrying temperature-controlled cargo such as seafood, pharmaceuticals and other perishables, the release added.
