Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), a joint venture between ST Engineering and Airbus, has successfully re-delivered its first A330P2F aircraft, modified at its conversion partner facility, ST Aerospace (Guangzhou) Aviation Services Co. Ltd (STAG) in China.

STAG is a joint venture with Guangdong Airport Management Corp, which provides aircraft MRO services, located in Guangzhou, China.

EFW shared on LinkedIn that the first A330 was inducted at its partner facility in May this year, successfully completing all conversion phases with the support of their engineering team and several other parties in Dresden, Germany.

The aircraft will soon be transferred and put into operation for its new mission, carrying express cargo, the post mentions.

EFW offers P2F conversions for the entire Airbus freighter family, including the A330, A321, and A320. Additionally, it provides maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for military and commercial aircraft, including the A380.

The team at EFW's partner facility has already completed 17 Airbus A321P2F conversions of standard-body aircraft prior to the A330P2F.

By November this year, EFW had converted 47 A321P2F, 4 A320P2F, and 49 A330P2F aircraft, bringing the total number of conversions to 100 that have joined the global fleet of Airbus freighter aircraft.

EFW and HNA Aviation Group announced the signing of an MoU for A330P2F conversions. As part of the agreement, EFW will assist Grand China Aircraft Maintenance Services (GCAM), a subsidiary of HNA Aviation Group, with A330P2F conversions and the establishment of A330P2F capabilities at GCAM's aerospace facility at Meilan International Airport in Haikou.
