Delta Air Lines has extended its partnership with LUG aircargo handling in Frankfurt and Munich till 2027.

LUG will be responsible for Delta Cargo’s handling at the German air freight hubs, says an official release. “The Atlanta-based airline has utilised LUG's services in Frankfurt for over four years and in Munich for a decade.”

Delta Air Lines connects Frankfurt Airport with daily flights to Atlanta, Detroit and New York, utilising an A330 aircraft with a cargo capacity of up to 29 tonnes per flight. “With direct ramp access, storage facilities, and staging areas and specialised centres for medical shipments and valuable cargo, LUG ensures the efficiency and precision essential for Delta Cargo’s reliable operations.”

In Munich, Delta Air Lines offers daily connections to Atlanta and, beginning in March 2024, to New York and Detroit, utilising a Boeing 767 aircraft equipped with cargo capacity of up to 20 tonnes. “Over the last decade, Delta Cargo has utilised LUG's handling services for the diverse array of goods that travel through Munich.”
