Davies Turner has acquired a 130,000-square-foot logistics facility near Heathrow Airport to support the expansion of its air freight operations. The newly completed facility will serve as the headquarters of Davies Turner Air Cargo, strengthening the group's capacity at the UK's key air freight gateway.

Located less than two miles from Heathrow's cargo terminal and 500 yards from Junction 14 of the M25 motorway, the facility provides access to major transport networks and international markets.

The site includes approximately 70,000 sq ft of warehousing, with a 12.5-metre clear internal height and two mezzanine floors providing an additional 50,000 sq ft of operational space. It also features five dock-loading doors, two level-access loading doors and 10,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation.

The acquisition forms part of Davies Turner's long-term investment strategy to increase capacity, improve operational efficiency and support customer growth.

The facility has achieved BREEAM Excellent certification and an EPC A+ energy rating, reflecting its energy performance and sustainability standards.

Commenting on the acquisition, James Wheatley, Managing Director of Davies Turner Air Cargo, said, “This acquisition represents a major milestone for Davies Turner Air Cargo and demonstrates our long-term commitment to the UK air freight market. Heathrow remains the country's premier international cargo gateway and this strategically located facility provides an exceptional platform from which to support our customers' future growth. The investment gives us the capacity, infrastructure and operational flexibility required to continue developing our services for many years to come."

The facility is being prepared for occupation, with its official opening planned for later this year.
