Cebu Pacific has renewed and expanded its long-term partnership with Jettainer, extending unit load device (ULD) management and maintenance services and adding IoT tracking technology, the companies said on 16 April 2026.

The early renewal of the contract will see Jettainer continue managing Cebu Pacific’s ULD fleet through its IT platform JettwareNG, ensuring equipment availability across all flights. The agreement builds on a partnership that began in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, when onboarding was fully remote. Since then, the relationship has developed alongside Cebu Pacific’s growth after the recovery of global air traffic.

Cebu Pacific has expanded its operations in recent years, now running a fleet of 100 aircraft, including 14 Airbus A330neo, while steadily increasing its domestic and international network. The airline is also positioned as the preferred air cargo carrier in the Philippines.

Under the extended agreement, Jettainer will introduce its latest IoT tracking solution, which uses a combination of LoRa and BLE technology along with cellular-enabled units that act as mobile readers. The system uses meshing technology to create a self-expanding network designed to improve visibility of ULDs, enhance asset utilisation, and reduce unnecessary repositioning, supporting sustainability goals.

As part of the contract, Jettainer will also deploy a dedicated Customer Service Manager to Cebu Pacific to provide on-site operational support and improve service quality across the airline’s growing network.

Cebu Pacific Chief Operations Officer Javier Massot said Jettainer has been a reliable and innovative partner, adding that consistent ULD availability, smooth operational integration and proactive support have helped improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary ULD movements, supporting sustainability efforts.

Jettainer Chief Sales Officer Thorsten Riekert said customer satisfaction through operational excellence remains central to the company’s mission and expressed appreciation for Cebu Pacific’s continued trust, adding that innovation and customer proximity remain key priorities.
