Cathay Cargo has successfully delivered two giant pandas to their new home in Hong Kong. The pandas were warmly welcomed at a ceremony held at Hong Kong International Airport. Upon arrival, the pandas underwent health checks conducted by Ocean Park Hong Kong and the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department to ensure their well-being. The beloved animals are expected to bring joy to the city soon, with residents eagerly anticipating their public debut.

Announced via a social media post, Cathay Cargo expressed its pride in transporting these national treasures, marking another achievement for the airline's cargo operations.

In another significant instance, Cathay Cargo transported two male Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkeys, Little Peanut and Yellow Bean, earlier last month from Ocean Park Hong Kong to Chengdu Zoo as part of a breeding program to help protect the endangered species. Due to territorial aggression in male monkeys, the relocation was necessary. The monkeys were flown in a controlled environment with caretakers from Ocean Park and Chengdu Zoo on board. Ocean Park has successfully bred three golden monkeys and collaborates with Chengdu Zoo to support their conservation efforts amid growing threats to their habitat caused by human activity.
