Brazilian cargo airline Levu Air Cargo partners with SmartLynx
Based on its dry-lease agreement, SmartLynx delivered A321F to Levu Air Cargo last week.
SmartLynx Airlines, a full-service aircraft leasing or ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider founded in 1992, has teamed up with Levu Air Cargo. The aircraft leasing company has also entered a dry-lease agreement for one of its A321F. According to this agreement, SmartLynx delivered the aircraft last week to initiate the registration process with the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil and to change the aircraft number to PS-LVU. This aircraft was previously registered as 9H-CGD (MSN 775) for DHL Aviation in partnership with SmartLynx.
While talking about the partnership, the CEO of SmartLynx Airlines, Edvinas Demenius, said, “Our partnership with Levu marks a significant milestone, not only for the Brazilian aviation market with the introduction of the first A321F registered in the country and region but also for SmartLynx as we extend our cargo capacity management services to Latin America. This important step is a part of our strategic efforts to expand our geography and we see much potential in this region.”
Levu Air Cargo has chosen the A321F due to its modern design, lower fuel consumption, and reduced CO2 emissions. According to an official release, it is the only aircraft in its category capable of handling containerized cargo on both the lower and main deck, significantly improving turnover efficiency.
“Their partnership with DHL in Europe makes the learning curve much more efficient for us as we will operate for the DHL supply chain here in Brazil. This strategic decision helps us deliver top-notch performance and ensures the best results for our valued customers,” added Rodrigo Pacheco, CEO, Levu Air Cargo.
