Awery Aviation Software has launched beta functionality that allows customers to securely connect operational data from its ERP platform with AI tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Cursor.

The new functionality, called Ask Awery, uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), a standard that enables AI applications to connect with external systems and data sources.

Through the integration, Awery’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) users can query their operational data using their preferred AI platform and receive answers directly within the selected tool. The company said the functionality is designed to make operational data more accessible while enabling customers to use AI alongside their existing workflows.

Vitaly Smilianets, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Awery, said “Achieving widespread digital adoption in air cargo depends on making technology straightforward and practical for the people using it every day, and this tool allows our customers that benefit.”

Users can now prompt their chosen AI tool to compile data directly from their Awery accounts, including customer tonnage by lane or charter quote conversion over a specific period.

Tasks that previously required manually combining data from multiple sources and could take hours can now be completed within seconds, allowing customers to focus on analysing results, making informed decisions, saving time and resources, and improving service quality.

Ask Awery integrates with the Awery ERP, unifying operational, commercial and financial processes on a single platform.

The integration provides read-only access, governed by users’ existing Awery permissions, ensuring they can only view data they are authorised to access.

Looking ahead, Similianets sees potential for AI agents to automate recurring reporting and routine data checks. Customers could schedule agents to generate daily, weekly or monthly reports, reducing repetitive tasks and allowing teams to focus on data-driven decisions.
