Air Serbia joins Freightos, enabling digital cargo payments
Air Serbia to offer e-bookings and guaranteed digital payments via Freightos across Europe and the US network

Air Serbia will join the Freightos cargo booking platform, enabling digital bookings and guaranteed payments across its European and American network, Freightos announced on March 24, 2026.
The integration will expand Freightos’ airline network and strengthen the use of Freightos Pay in Europe. It will allow rapid and guaranteed digital payments between freight forwarders and carriers, including those without IATA accreditation, which has been a key barrier to digital transactions in the region.
Once live, Air Serbia’s cargo capacity will be available for e-bookings across the United States and throughout its European network, from Albania and Austria to Sweden and Switzerland. The integration will open all origins on the Freightos platform and give forwarders access to destinations beyond Belgrade, including Zagreb, Podgorica, Tbilisi, Tirana, Sarajevo and Skopje.
Sebastien Podgorski, VP Airline Solutions at Freightos, said the addition of Air Serbia will help improve access and efficiency in air cargo by combining bookings with guaranteed payments. He said this will support better cash flow for airlines, reduce disputes and expand access to a wider range of freight forwarders.
Veselin Djordjevic, Head of Cargo at Air Serbia, said the partnership is part of the airline’s digital transformation strategy. He said the guaranteed payment solution will remove financial uncertainty, expand reach to more freight forwarders and streamline operations while reducing administrative work.
Freightos Pay is designed to simplify the financial side of air cargo bookings by ensuring faster processing and reconciliation of transactions compared to traditional payment methods. It also reduces financial risk for airlines and enables freight forwarders without existing airline accounts or accreditation to access carriers and grow their business.
