Air France KLM Cargo appoints Bernard Geersing VP Europe

Move comes as Robert Kunen shifts to IT division, marking internal leadership changes across the cargo unit

Air France KLM Martinair Cargo has announced a leadership change within its organisation, appointing Bernard Geersing as Vice President Europe with effect from 1 May.

In his new role, Geersing will lead the company’s European organisation, with a focus on strengthening commercial performance and deepening customer relationships across the region.

Geersing currently serves as Vice President Digital, Distribution & Customer Service & Claims, where he has been responsible for developing digital capabilities, improving customer service, and supporting commercial performance. He has also previously led the Benelux Cargo organisation within the company.

Commenting on the appointment, GertJan Roelands, SVP Commercial at Air France KLM Martinair Cargo, said he is confident that Geersing’s appointment will help the company take the next step in executing its cargo strategy in Europe.

The company also announced that Robert Kunen will move into the role of VP CIO Office within the Air France-KLM IT Division. Roelands thanked Kunen for his contribution to the cargo organisation.
