Accelya unifies cargo and passenger technology on FLX ONE
Accelya has unified cargo technology with its passenger retailing foundation on the FLX ONE platform.

Accelya has taken a strategic step by unifying its cargo technology with the passenger retailing foundation on its FLX ONE platform, reinforcing its long-term commitment to cargo as a core part of airline performance and technology strategy. The company also announced the appointment of Muthupandi “Muthu” Nageswaran as Vice President of Technology for FLX ONE Cargo, based in the United Kingdom.
FLX ONE Cargo, first launched in April 2025, is a cloud-native cargo platform designed to support modern, API-driven cargo retailing and operations. By aligning the cargo system with the same technology base that supports passenger retailing, Accelya aims to give airlines consistent security, scalability and cloud-native services across both cargo and passenger operations, while still addressing the specific commercial and regulatory needs of cargo.
Accelya said the unified technology foundation will accelerate innovation across its FLX ONE portfolio, as shared platform services and a common operating model are extended across product lines. The firm will continue to support its existing SkyChain cargo management system for current customers. FLX ONE Cargo remains a separate cloud-native platform for airlines seeking modern cargo tools, with flexible adoption options to help airlines modernise at their own pace.
Muthu Nageswaran brings more than 20 years of experience in leading large-scale platform development and digital transformation at global technology companies. Sam Gilliland, Accelya’s Chief Executive Officer, said this leadership investment underlines the company’s confidence in cargo as a key driver of airline performance.
Accelya said it will provide further updates on enhancements to the FLX ONE Cargo platform and customer progress throughout 2026.
Accelya is a global airline technology provider that powers more than 200 airlines with modular software solutions to support airline retailing, settlement and delivery, aligned with modern industry standards.
