Miami-based cargo airline 7Air officially launched its service at Miami International Airport (MIA) on August 11, 2025 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a tour of its B737-800SF aircraft.

The event was attended by Michael Mendez, CEO of 7Air Cargo; Amos Rodriguez, Vice President of Xtreme Aviation LLC; Carlos Cock, CEO of The Xtreme Group (TXG); Jose Rodriguez, Chairman and Managing Partner of TXG; and Ralph Cutié, MIA Director and CEO.

The airline currently operates three B737-800SF aircraft and plans to add a fourth by the end of 2025. 7Air flies 20 weekly all-cargo flights between Miami and Managua, Santo Domingo, and San Juan. It has also operated charter services to Lima and Kingston. Since its first flight from MIA in April, the carrier has transported more than three million kilogrammes (3,307 tonnes) of cargo.

MIA, the busiest U.S. airport for international freight, is undergoing $9 billion in capital improvements and maintenance upgrades. The airport provides more flights to Latin America and the Caribbean than any other U.S. gateway and generates business revenue of $181 billion for Miami-Dade County and Florida.
