OCT 28, 2015: Jonas Nilsson has been appointed as Head of Volvo Penta in India, as of September 01, 2015. Jonas is responsible for the market activities, which includes marketing, sales, logistics, aftermarket, finance & accounting and human resources.
With over 21 years of service, Jonas has an extensive experience in Marketing, Sales, Business Development, aftermarket, product development and project management. He holds a master’s degree in Industrial engineering from The Institute of Technology at Linköping University.
“I am looking forward to expand our leadership in the market, accelerate innovation and distribution capabilities to continue enhancing customer centricity and technology adoption. I also intend to focus on developing marketing strategies for both Industrial and Marine business resulting in positive brand exposure and positioning Volvo Penta in India as market leader in the Premium and Imported Engine category”, said Jonas Nilsson.
Jonas takes on the reigns from S. Prabhakaran who steps up to the position of vice president product management Industrial for AB Volvo Penta, Gothenburg, Sweden.
