Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow enters into long-term cooperation agreement with MGTU GA

July 12, 2018: Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow (VDTM), a part of Volga-Dnepr Group and a supplier of aircraft maintenance and repair services, and Moscow State Civil Aviation Technical University (MGTU GA), a leading Russia-based educational institution for civil aviation maintenance personnel, have entered into a long-term cooperation agreement in terms of preparation of maintenance personnel.

For both organisations, the main goal of the agreement is to improve quality of education and competitiveness of Russian aviation.

MGTU GA will be placing special emphasis on training students and highly qualified personnel in occupations with a demand at VDTM, including arrangement and conduct various practices and other training for students. For its part, VDTM will be providing employment opportunities for students and graduates at the Company divisions, and promoting hands-on training in the Company for the University’s teaching personnel.

“In response to shortage of qualified personnel notably in Russia, and generally in global aviation industry, for our company, a cooperation with a specialised technical is a cornerstone of success into the future from the point of adequate staffing level. Over 40 percent of maintenance personnel at our Company have graduated from MGTU GA, therefore, based on our own experience, we have managed to acknowledge high level of personnel education, and will be glad to make mutual efforts to further effective cooperation,” said Pavel Tereschenkov, general director, VDTM.

“MGTU GA cooperates with leading entities in aviation industry, including Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow, which allows us to provide high-quality training to personnel. Perfect theoretical and practical training of our graduates places them in high demand in the labour market!” says Boris Yeliseyev, Rector MGTU GA.

The two companies also plan to jointly perform pilot development work, promote research and development activity and organise mass-cultural and sports events.
