March 27, 2018: Virgin Atlantic Cargo recently began its new weekly flight service, from Belfast to Orlando, which will depart from Northern Ireland every Monday, throughout the summer season.

With this new weekly service, cargo customers moving goods to and from Orlando and Florida, can now connect with the airlines’ four gateways across the UK.

From June, an additional weekly service will be added by Virgin Atlantic Cargo, every Friday. This new direct Orlando flight service is in addition to 17 flights per week to Gatwick, 12 flights per week from Manchester, and two weekly Orlando operation from Glasgow. Besides, general cargo and exports from Belfast to Orlando, include regular shipments of spare parts and machinery.

Lisa Forshaw, account manager-North of England, Midlands, Scotland and Northern Ireland, Virgin Atlantic Cargo said: “We enjoy great support from customers in Ireland, particularly for our transatlantic routes from London and Manchester. The start of our new Belfast-Orlando service is a great opportunity for Virgin Atlantic to offer a consistent flying schedule from the city to the USA, and beyond. We are delighted to be introducing an online operation for our valued customers in Belfast, and look forward to gaining their support throughout the summer.”

By offering customers with more choice to the US has helped Virgin Atlantic Cargo garner an overall nine percent growth in its revenues during 2017, and a jump by six percent in volumes. The airline offers customers services to 11 destinations in the US, Atlanta, Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York JFK, Newark, Orlando, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington.
