Sep 9, 2019: Volker Sauerborn will join international family-owned company Hellmann Worldwide Logistics as chief operating officer Contract Logistics, in November, this year.

At the same time, the company has appointed new managing director, Germany.

Volker Sauerborn will be responsible for the global contract logistics division worldwide. He will report directly to Reiner Heiken, CEO Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. Sauerborn has been in the international transport business for more than 30 years. From 2006 onwards, he was vice president Sales & Business Development Contract Logistics at Kuehne & Nagel. For the last four years he has been the senior vice president of the region Germany West where he was responsible for all products in the region.

He succeeds Robert Bommers who left the company in June.

As the MD for Germany, Sven Eisfeld will be responsible for the operative business of all products with a focus on more cross-divisional collaboration.

Past ten years, Sven worked with Kuehne + Nagel in Hamburg. After working in different central management positions in the road product, he was active as vice president Regional Sales in Northern Germany since 2017.
