April 2, 2019: Turkish Cargo will operate its cargo transportation operations via passenger flights from the temporary satellite facility, which is completely satisfactory in terms of infrastructure at Istanbul Airport, as of April 6, 2019.

However, the cargo carrier will operate its freighter flights from the existing cargo terminal at Ataturk Airport until construction of the mega cargo facility is completed at Istanbul Airport.

The carrier said through a statement: "Turkish Cargo will have a capacity to handle 4 million tonnes of cargo annually in our modern cargo terminal that will have an indoor area of 300 thousand square meters when all phases of Istanbul Airport will be completed."
