FEB 9, 2015: Thai Airways entered into a 12-year contract with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) for component availability and repair services for eight Boeing 787 aircraft ordered, four of which are already in operation.
The agreement covers support for a significant amount of THAI 787 operations, including consumables, rotables, tooling, equipment, and more. This contract is for a long-term period of 12 years and will help THAI to save on investment cost for materials, components, tooling, spare part support, and maintenance on the Boeing 787.
Participating in the signing ceremony between THAI and AFI KLM E&M were Ton Dortmans, executive vice president, KLM Engineering and Maintenance, Chalermpon Intarawong, THAI executive vice president, technical department, Franck Terner executive vice president, AFI KLM engineering and maintenance, and Rob Pruim, vice president, sales international, AFI KLM engineering and maintenance.
