Tailored offerings for pharma logistics

Peli Biothermal is dedicated to supporting the safe transport of critical, high value temperature-controlled materials globally for pharmaceuticals. Adam Tetz, Director of Worldwide Marketing, Peli BioThermal reveals the company’s offerings for the air freight industry.

Can you tell us about some of the latest service offerings/specialized offerings for the pharma sector?
We offer consulting on structuring how cold chain logistics will be used by shipping lane and by product, consulting on how to manage those products in the pharmaceutical manufacturer’s process for shipment and delivery, ongoing service on the reusable product lines, including storage, cleaning, repair, condition to the correct temperature, delivery, pickup, and we also have a software that is designed to support the above services and aid in tracking of all reusable assets of the pharma customer on a worldwide basis.

Can you provide some examples/instances of the usage of your product in the air freight industry?
We have partnerships with most of the global airlines and especially specialty couriers or divisions of logistics companies that focus on flying pharmaceuticals around the world. These include UPS, DHL, FedEx, Marken, World Courier and others.

They use our Crèdo Xtreme reusable product and our CoolPall Vertos single use product line to transport the pharma. We have a new product launching, the Crèdo Cargo, that is designed to be reused, accept an entire pallet of temperature conditioning pharmaceutical payload and then ship two disassembled shippers, in the space of a single loaded shipper, on the return journey.

How receptive are your clients to your product?
We are recognized as a product leader and innovator in our market space. We work with all of the major pharmaceutical manufacturers and they acknowledge that is due to our excellent record of thermal performance for our temperature controlled packaging protecting their payloads during transit.
