Kolkata, 13 August, 2014 (STAT): Spice Jet has launched a new service connecting Kolkata to Bagdogra-Kathmandu, becoming the first Indian airline to operate in this route. This will be a three-times-weekly service. The airline is already operating a 11 weekly direct service from Dehi to Kathmandu, having already flown close to 46,700 customers in this route. Spice Jet has come out with a promotional offer of Rs.99 for the Kolkata-Bagdogra-Kathmandu flight. This new service is expected to facilitate tourism and trade growth between the two countries.

“We are extremely pleased with the response received for our Kathmandu-Bagdogra-Kolkata connection. This direct service will provide our customers flying from either regions much more convenience in terms of connectivity and reach,” said Mr. Kaneswaran Avili, Chief Commercial Officer, SpiceJet Ltd.
