Nov 19, 2016: Shiping firm Mitsui O.S.K. Lines has finalised logo design for its next-generation car carriers “FLEXIE”.

The move is part of a rebranding strategy to strengthen the firm’s vehicle transport, project and heavy-cargo services, and comes ahead of the first new ships slated to join the fleet in late 2017. The new vessel design features means two adjustable decks can be placed between two fixed decks. The newly designed liftable decks allow greater flexibility in vehicles or cargoes of different heights.

“The company will not only develop a global marketing effort in vehicle transport service to promote the flexibility of the new carriers’ liftable decks, but also strengthen group-wide marketing efforts to build awareness of the MOL Project & Heavy Cargo” service,” a spokesperson for MOl said.

The firm has commissioned a white and blue color combination that builds on the MOL ACE brand and represents the firms commitment to advancement in environmental protection, new technology, hull design and deck structure.
