December 13, 2017: Cabot Microelectronics Corporation has appointed Scott Beamer as vice president and chief financial officer. He succeeds William Johnson who recently retired as CFO after almost 15 years of service.
According to sources, Beamer is expected to assume his role as VP and CFO on January 15, 2018, while Johnson would continue for a short time to factor a smooth transition.
Cabot is the leading supplier of chemical mechanical planarization polishing slurries and second largest CMP pads supplier to the semiconductor industry.
Beamer will join Cabot Microelectronics after over four years stint as vice president and CFO of Stepan Company—a global consumer and industrial products company operating across 19 locations.
