FEB 20, 2015: Saudia will launch a direct flight from Tabuk to Cairo on April 15 as part of its efforts to expand its international operations considering marketing and passenger traffic requirements. Abdul Mohsen Junaid, EVP Commerce, said Tabuk would be the sixth station in the Kingdom to operate direct flights to Cairo, after Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah and Abha.

“This flight is an addition to SAUDIA’s operations to Egypt, including Cairo, Alexandria and Sharam El-Sheikh,” Junaid said, adding that it would serve passengers traveling between the two countries, especially during peak seasons.

He said the new flight from Tabuk would make more seats available to passengers traveling to Cairo from the Kingdom. “The move comes within the framework of the management’s efforts to make optimum use of the airline’s fleet,” he added.

Saudia carried a record 1.8 million passengers between the two countries last year on 9,956 scheduled and additional flights. This reflects the growing Saudi-Egyptian relations.
