Aug 23, 2018: Russian airline Aeroflot has transported 18,313.6 tonnes of cargo volume in July this year as compared to 18,461.9 tonnes in July 2017 that is a decline of 0.8 percent.

On international routes, cargo volume transported saw 6.9 percent surge in freight volume. The airline carried 12,510.8 tonnes in July 2018. On domestic routes, the transported cargo volume decreased by 14.1 percent year-on-year.

In July 2018, SkyTeam alliance member Aeroflot airline added two Airbus ?321 to its fleet.

Coming to the traffic figures of the first seven months of 2018, the carrier in a press release stated that it has transported 119,863.4 tonnes when compared to 122,657.4 tonnes in the reported period last year.

In the same period, on international routes, the airline saw 2.3 percent increase year-on-year.

However, on the domestic routes, the airline carried 38,630.3 tonnes of cargo that is year-on-year decrease of 10.7 percent.

Overall, the airline reported increase in cargo volume carried on international routes both in July as well as the first seven months. On the other hand, the domestic routes traffic figures showed decline.
