May 30, 2018: Royal Air Maroc Cargo (RAM Cargo) has expanded its fleet with a new Boeing B767-300 Freighter which has a capacity of 45 tonnes. The carrier will start operations with this aircraft as early as May 2018.

The company’s fleet comprises of 56 aircraft, including 11 large aircraft.

The new B767-300 Freighter replaces the old cargo plane and gives boost to the freight activity of the national carrier. The carrier got the aircraft converted from American manufacturer Boeing, as the old plane was originally intended for passenger flights.

With a wider capacity and a longer range of flight, the aircraft will prove beneficial to the cargo division of RAM.

In addition to transporting perishable goods, valuables, clothing and crafts articles, RAM Cargo will now offer three new products, namely Cargo Pharma for delivering temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals, the Cargo Stable for horses and large live animals, and the Outsize Cargo for oversized shipments.
