Qatar Airways celebrates successful first year in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, 2 October, 2014 (STAT):-Qatar Airways celebrated the first anniversary of its services to Ethiopia by partnering once again with Our Father’s Kitchen programme.

Our Father’s Kitchen is a feeding programme which provides daily meals for approximately 217 underprivileged children in three different neighbourhoods of the Addis Ababa community.

More than 200 local school children,who are a part of the programme, enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon of enjoyment and hospitality at Bora Amusement Park.

The children, along with representatives of Qatar Airways and members of the local media, also enjoyed a lunch prepared by Our Father’s Kitchen. At the end of the day, the school-aged children were each presented with a new school uniform along with exercise books for the academic year.

Qatar Airways commenced services between Doha and Addis Ababa in September last year, operating three non-stop flights per week on the route.Committed to making a difference to the lives of those in the local community from which it operates, Qatar Airways chose to partner with Our Father’s Kitchenf or the second year in a row,marking its first anniversary in Addis Ababa.
