January 06, 2020: Philippine Airlines, which already flies to Honolulu, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York, is increasing its United States presence by launching Seattle as its fifth destination. They serve a total of seven destinations in North America, as they also fly to Toronto and Vancouver.

As per Routes Online, the carrier is set to fly between Cebu and Los Angeles three times a week from May 2, using B777-300ER aircraft. The flights will depart from both cities on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Previously, Philippine Airlines did fly between Cebu and Los Angeles but discontinued services in May 2017.

Also in the same month, nonstop flights between Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila, and Seattle will be commenced. These services will operate three times a week from both cities, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays using A350-900XWB aircraft.

In addition to this new flight, Seattle already has flights to Asia on All Nippon Airways, Asiana, Cathay Pacific, Delta, Emirates, EVA Air, Hainan, Japan Airlines, Korean Air, and Singapore Airlines.
