Oct 15, 2019: Low-cost airline Norwegian has announced an increase in capacity of key routes between the UK and the US. Service increases will occur from March 2020 on routes including San Francisco and Tampa and will run throughout the summer 2020 schedule.

According to the airline, the increase is demand-driven backed up by Norwegians high load factor which was recently reported.

The increase in frequencies are along the following routes:

London Gatwick to San Francisco – Daily Service (up from 5 times per week)

London Gatwick to Austin – 4 times per week (up from 3 times per week)

London Gatwick to Denver – 4 times per week (up from 3 times per week)

London Gatwick to Tampa – 4 times per week (up from 3 times per week)

The route changes equate to 75,000 extra seats available between the UK and US in Summer 2020.

Matthew Wood, SVP Commercial at Norwegian said: “In line with our business strategy of moving from growth to profitability we are ensuring that we concentrate on key routes across our network where we see strong demand. These frequency adjustments ensure that our customers can have more choice when choosing their flights to the US at fares that remain affordable to all.”
