October 24, 2017: The head and founder of Hellmann Automotive Logistics, Bernd Oevermann, will retire on October 31, 2017 after more than 30 years with the company. As global vice president, Martin Wehner will take over leadership of the Automobile Industry Solution.

Wehner has been with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics for 15 years. He began his career as a Team Leader in Air & Sea Freight at the Hamburg branch. In 2005, Wehner changed to the Automotive Unit in the company headquarters in Osnabrueck, where as Global Sales manager, he developed important automobile manufacturer and supplier accounts, especially in Asia. Furthermore, Wehner has made a significant contribution to establishing Hellmann Automotive successfully on the market, also in the area of contract logistics.

As of October 31, 2017 Martin Wehner will succeed Bernd Oevermann, the long-term leader of the industry solution as head of Hellmann Automotive Logistics.

“As a full-service provider, Hellmann takes on not only shipments on all modes of transport for its customers but also storage, procurement, customs clearance and other value added services,” said the company through a statement on its website.
