Kuehne + Nagel selected for aftermarket parts logistics by leading aerospace manufacturer

November 13, 2018: Kuehne + Nagel recently announced a new multi-year contract with Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp. Under this new agreement, Kuehne + Nagel will manage a 300,000 square foot military and commercial aftermarket spare parts distribution center in Atlanta, GA. The operation supplies aftermarket parts to Pratt & Whitney’s customers all over the world. Kuehne + Nagel is committed to assisting Pratt & Whitney in increasing logistics efficiency and improving overall customer satisfaction of its parts delivery.

Quality, safety, and precision are paramount to Pratt & Whitney. With responsibility for the receipt, warehousing, and inventory control of over 40,000 aircraft engine parts, the Kuehne + Nagel team will leverage its KNPS lean management methodology to drive efficiencies. Processes undergo regular analysis to enable cost reduction, cycle time improvements, and exceed Pratt & Whitney’s established performance guidelines.

Since 2017, Kuehne + Nagel has been operating a production logistics operation for Pratt & Whitney in West Palm Beach, Florida, to support its production plant. This latest contract is another step towards business expansion and strengthening the relationship.
