Kuehne + Nagel launches new digital collaborative supply chain tool for customer
March 5, 2018: Leading IT-based integrated logistics solutions provider, Kuehne + Nagel, recently launched its most comprehensive on-time monitoring platform, KN ESP, which will offer its customers to seamlessly connect, collaborate and manage their physical and digital supply chain needs, from sourcing to delivery on a global level.
According to Kuehne + Nagel, its new supply chain management platform, KN ESP will offer a modular architecture to connect international supply chain customers with their vendors, buyers, sellers, physical assets, and cargo flows.
The tool will also help in improving supplier reliability and product availability through control of the full product life cycle, from sourcing, quality control, purchase order negotiation and management, to commercial invoice release, buyer’s consolidation, transportation and delivery.
With predictive analytics and artificial intelligence, KN ESP will optimise orders and prioritise transportation decisions based on a set of customer’s defined business rules, cost and service options.
It’s in addition to the KN technology suite for medium-to-large customers that provides the most comprehensive response to complex supply chain needs. It includes an ongoing strategic partnership with GT Nexus.
“KN ESP’s unique features provide a synchronised, transparent and collaborative supply chain platform that eliminates communication frictions, no matter how many systems or players are involved,” said Otto Schacht, member of the managing board of Kuehne + Nagel International AG, responsible for Seafreight.
“It’s a part of our digital strategy to become a data-driven value chain provider. The implementation of KN ESP will strengthen our position in the international supply chain business, and support our customers to achieve long-term competitive edge.”
