Sep 3, 2019: Korean Air, the flag carrier of South Korea, has launched codeshare partnership with Royal Brunei Airlines.

The codeshare agreement, effective September 4, will see Korean Air, marketing flights for Royal Brunei Airlines, on the Incheon-Brunei route.

Codeshare agreements enable airlines to market service on other airlines’ flights under their own flight number.

A statement from Korean Air informed: “Incheon-Brunei route is operated four times a week (Tuesday/Thursday/Friday/Sunday).”

The airline added: “Passengers booking the flight through Korean Air can enjoy the airline’s convenient reservation and ticketing services, while accruing miles on its frequent flyer programme, SKYPASS.”

Korean Air currently has codeshare arrangements with 35 airlines, including SkyTeam members such as Delta Air Lines and Air France, on a total of 950 routes.

Through the continuous expansion of codeshare agreements, Korean Air will keep providing more convenient, diverse schedules and options to customers.
