Konecranes to deliver 16 RTGs to APM Terminals

Nigeria, January 15, 2015 (STAT):-Konecranes has received an important order for Rubber Tired Gantry (RTG) cranes from APM Terminals. It is an order in two parts. Twelve RTGs will be delivered to APM Terminals Algeciras, in Spain. Four RTGs will be delivered to APM Terminals Apapa in Lagos, Nigeria.
Konecranes RTG cranes on order for APM Terminals Algeciras are high-performance, 16-wheel RTGs with a lifting capacity of 41 tons, a stacking height of 1-over-5, and a stacking width of 6 plus truck lane wide.The cranes are scheduled to be delivered at the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016. The parties involved have agreed not to disclose the value of the order.
“It’s very satisfying to win this order from APM Terminals. It’s a breakthrough order in Europe, a sign of the company’s confidence in our technology and ability to support our cranes. We’ll make sure that their confidence in us is justified,” said Ville Hoppu, Sales Manager, Konecranes/Port Cranes.
