Jamie Wood, National manager, Kuehne + Nagel Canada adds: "Acquiring a specialized player in seafood logistics, Kuehne + Nagel consolidates its leading position in the market. Using the network and experience of both companies, our customers can benefit from an enhanced offering and the best possible solution to their needs."
In order to enhance its overland network, Kuehne + Nagel Austria acquired Jobstl, a medium-sized logistics enterprise headquartered in Wundschuh near Graz.
In future, particularly those customers requiring European groupage services can benefit from the transport operations offered by the Jobstl Group.
The acquisition is subject to approval by the responsible antitrust authorities. As part of the acquisition, 100 percent of SLM Spedition und Logistik GmbH, Vienna, shares will be transferred to Kuehne + Nagel. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price of the transaction.
