Jettainer, ASL Airlines Belgium ink five-year ULD management contract

Oct 22, 2019: Lufthansa Cargo’s ULD management firm Jettainer, with immediate effect, is responsible for the management of ULDs for ASL Airlines Belgium.

Based on the five-year contract with the Belgian-cargo airline, Jettainer is to take over the global control and maintenance for the entire ULD-fleet.

ASL Airlines Belgium’s existing fleet of ULDs consists of approximately 1,500 units and these are utilised across an extensive European network and on flights to the USA, China and the Middle East.

Jettainer said through a statement that this is the second Belgium airline in its growing client base, after Brussels Airlines.

Thorsten Riekert, director Sales at Jettainer emphasises: “In this context, we are also enhancing our presence at the airport Liege, which in the recent past became increasingly more important due to significant growth in the cargo sector.”

Based at Liege airport, ASL Airlines Belgium specializes in the express freight market and also offers scheduled, charter and ad-hoc flights. The airline is a member of the ASL Aviation Holdings Group. The carrier’s fleet includes the Boeing B747-400F and the Boeing 737-800F and 400F.
