Jettainer appoints Trapp as IT director

SEP 26, 2015: Arnd Trapp has now been nominated IT Director at Jettainer. In his new role, Trapp will continue to develop the company’s software landscape JettWare, the basis for the intelligent management of pallets and containers. He will particularly focus on tracking and tracing for air-freight ULDs and introducing technical innovations in the field of mobile IT solutions.

The graduate computer scientist has been associated with the air-freight sector for more than 20 years. During this time he has held various management positions within the Lufthansa Group, for example. He was most recently head of the systems engineering department at Lufthansa CityLine.

One of his tasks will be the continuation of Jettainer’s cooperation with the University of Cologne. This involves developing a self-learning software solution, which will serve the experts at Jettainer as an aid to decision-making in future. He will also press ahead with the ongoing development work on the mobile arm of JettWare, the JettApp application, which is being used at airports.
